New Business: The NY Times did a lovely obituary for Aldon Amos. Nancy Pryor has the interview with him, (can also be found on YouTube), on her tablet if anyone would like to watch it. It speaks of all he has contributed to the Fiber Arts and Spinning Wheels. Virva reported that Allyson Judge informed her that the Adaptive Riding Center on Skyline Drive is available for winter workshops for our information. Hannah reported she has arranged with Holly, at the North Valleys Library, for us to have the front display case (3 shelves) for the month of March. We may display small tools, woven, knitted, crocheted items and spinning samples. These items will be returned in April. Hannah will be coordinating this so bring your items to the February meeting with your name attached to the back of the item.
Heidi’s Friday Night Art, FART, this month, will be held on Friday, Jan. 15, from 5:30-9:00 at her house. Bring something to work on, share Heidi’s coloring books, or just hang out! Heidi is planning to hold these on the third Friday of each month. Maxene Harlow will be moving to Mississippi shortly. You will be sorely missed Max! You have contributed so much to our Guild! Can’t thank you enough!!!
Our next meeting is February 13th at Bartley Ranch Park in the old school house.
