New Business: There was a discussion of the emailed list of classes from offered by Stephanie Gaustad. The list was passed around for members to note their preferences. Potential dates for classes were discussed also. Nancy will go over the noted preferences and bring the subject up at the next member’s meeting.<br />
Nancy offered 3 DVD’s about dyeing.<br />
Doris suggested a memorial bench for Marilynn Clarke, potentially at the Arboretum. She will research possibilities and get back to us.
Doris discussed potential donations by the Guild and suggested the Celtic Celebration as an organization that supports us, (the pay us for our annual “Living History” exhibit). Upon motion made by Heidi, and seconded, (by Doris?), it was unanimously passed that we would donate our annual amount to the Celtic Celebration.<br />
Name tag options were discussed.<br />

Next meeting is our Christmas Party at Bartley Ranch Park Schoolhouse on December 14th. Pot luck and bring a wrapped Christmas Ornament if you would like to join the ornament exchange.<br />

New Business: Our Spinster Retreat will be at the Davis Creek Regional Park, (by Bower’s Mansion in Washoe Valley), September 13-15, in the group campsite. Check-in time for campers is noon on Friday the 13th. Check-out is noon on Sunday. Our meeting will be a potluck on Saturday. Campers may arrive at noon on Friday and check-out is 11:00 on Sunday. Our meeting will be held at

Treasurer’s Report: As of 9/7/18, we paid out monies for Clemes & Clemes Modern Wheel Maiden repair and have 41 members

The Comstock Civil War Reenactors would really like to have a Spinning and Weaving section at their Virginia City event next year. They have costumes that we may borrow for the event. For more information, http://www.ccwr.us<br />
New Business:
We will be returning to the Bartley Ranch Schoolhouse for our October Meeting. Heidi Ericson will not be our President next year, so we will be looking for members for that position and several others for 2019.
Please bring ideas for Learning Trees for next year. Some suggestions were: Boucle, Drop Spindling, Fractal spinning, and Tiny Tapestries.<br />
Ideas for a Guild Sponsored Workshop are also wanted. Janice suggested a blending board workshop.<br />
Our November meeting will be The Mad Hatter Batt Party at the Bartly Ranch School House. Bring you drum carders if you have one and all types of fiber to card into batts! Wearing your cute hat is optional<br />

Treasurer’s Report: Report for 7/14/2018- We received monies for dues for 2 members and 2 spindle kits. As of 7/13/2018, we have 41 members.
Report for 8/11/2018- We received monies for 2 spindle kits. We reimbursed Virva for coffee supplies, and reimbursed Heidi for 3 books and 3 bags of Firestar for the Guild. We have 41 members.
New Business:
We have been invited to have a Spinning and Weaving section at the Living History event in Virginia City on August 31st, as part of their Civil War Enactment. I’m sorry, I do not have the information or contact person if you wish to participate. If you wish to attend, you can find information here, https://visitvirginiacitynv.com/events/civil-war-days/
An Art in Nature event will be held in September, at the Arboretum in Rancho San Rafael. I will post more information as soon as I get it.
The Reno Mini Maker Faire will be held on Sunday, October 14, in Wingfield Park. You may go to reno.makerfaire.com to fill out an interest form as applications and details are not available yet.<br />

Next meeting is our Spinsters Retreat at Davis Park Campground. We have our section of campground from Friday Sept 7th noon to Sunday September 9th noon.<br />
