October Minutes There were twelve in attendance at the meeting held at Bartley Ranch during the Celtic Fair. The September Minutes were approved. Treasurer’s Report: We have 52 members and have $3842.42 in the account. Old Business: “The retreat was a wonderful success, let’s do it again next year!” was the consensus, especially from the campers. Nancy Grundy’s sale at her home studio was discussed. The Field Day at the UNR Farm was very fun, there was a good turnout and much interest. New Business: The November meeting will be “The Mad Hatter’s Batt and Tea Party”. Please bring fiber, blingy bits, and tea tasties to share. Mimi brought fiber for the spindle kits and we moved to pay $63 for the fiber. Virva reported on the “Buy Nevada First Store” by Burlington Coat Factory. She spoke with Shelly, the manager, and it could be venue for us for selling our handmade items. Nancy reported that Stephanie Gaustadt offered to put on a “Fleece to Fiber” workshop for us. The material fee would be $10 on top of the workshop cost. Bast fiber workshops were also offered by Donna, the Curator of the Churchill County Museum in Fallon.
